His illustrated talk will offer some personal insights into the creative processes where words and music come together. Alec's song-cycle with words by the Dymock poet, Edward Thomas, will be premiered by Mark Padmore at tomorrow's concert in Great Malvern Priory. Both were leading artists of the first half of the 20th century. Though a fine portrait painter, Harold was to some extent overshadowed by his more famous wife. Kelly, William Denis Browne and Rupert Brooke. The sequence weaves together song, poetry, letters and diaries. The Fateful Voyage is the title of a forthcoming biography on the subject by Kate Kennedy.
